Fundraiser for CLS – Sharon’s Hand Crochet Goods for Sale

One of our amazing volunteers, Sharon, has donated tons of handmade crochet items to raise money for our non-profit.
Below are a few of the items she has made. The rest can be viewed and purchased at
Items will be available for contact-less pick-up at our office. Details provided after purchase. All proceeds go to Chilliwack Learning Society.

Sharon loves literacy and understands the importance of literacy. Literacy is essential to developing a strong sense of well-being and citizenship. Children who have developed strong reading skills perform better in school and have a healthier self-image. They become lifelong learners and sought-after employees.

She has been a Rotarian since 2005 and literacy is one of Rotary’s areas of focus. She chaired the popular annual Rotary book sale for three years; was one of the people instrumental in bringing Dolly Parton Imagination Library to our area; and her Rotary Club supports 3 international projects all involved with literacy. She has also donated hundreds of books to families and organizations.

Sharon volunteers with Chilliwack Learning Society as a tutor and a bookworm volunteer, and by providing her crochet items as a fundraiser for the Society.

Other crochet items have been donated to various fundraising events and have found their way to Nepal, Tanzania and Mexico. Other sales of Sharon’s items, totaling over $5,000, have benefited many organizations.
