It’s never too late to learn to surf! This is the goal of the Silver Surfers Project, a unique initiative that began by supporting the social and intellectual participation of seniors in our community through the shared use of iPad technology. Trained volunteers offer small group and one-on-one sessions that include a variety of entertaining activities.
- Surf the Internet
- Set up an email account
- Chat with loved ones
- Play online games
- Learn how to download apps
- Explore the features of the camera
- And so much more
If you are curious about tablets/cameras or have recently acquired a new device and need help, this program is for you. OR if you are “tech savvy” and would like to become a Silver Surfers Project Volunteer contact us to apply. You can help unlock some great communication tools for seniors who are otherwise isolated.
