StoryWalk® is an innovative and delightful way for children and adults to go on a reading adventure.

Laminated pages from a children’s book are attached to wooden stakes which are installed along an outdoor path. As you stroll down the trail or sidewalk, you’re directed to the next page in the story. This combines three critical elements for overall family health: early literacy learning, family engagement outdoors, and physical activity.

This summer pop-up StoryWalks® will appear in local parks on Friday mornings from 9:00-11:00!

Here’s the schedule:
July 8 – Barber Park
July 15 – Phillipson Family Park
July 22 – Lazenby Park
July 29 – Laurelwood Park
August 5 – Guinet Park
August 12 – Spruce Grove Park
August 19 – Parker Park
August 26 – Watson Glen Park

All park addresses are listed on the City of Chilliwack’s website.

Special thanks to the Chilliwack Community Services’s Child Care Resource and Referral Program for being the driving force in this collaborative summertime pop-up series.
